Excellence in public relations involves strategically managing communication between and organization and its publics to achieve mutually desired goals.
The EMU undergraduate program in public relations gives students the knowledge and skills they need to become excellent practitioners.
For more than 20 years, our program has offered hundreds of students a strong interdisciplinary foundation that draws from communication, journalism, English, media, business, technology and other areas.
By putting theory into practice early on, students develop impressive writing portfolios through real-life client assignments and project opportunities.
The average student who graduates from our program has a portfolio that reflects all major types of public relations writing and project management experiences – from media communications to client proposals to crisis management plans.
