The Michigan Eye-Bank is a growing organization that allows for a hands-on experience at a state-wide non-profit. With three locations in the city of Ann Arbor, we are an organization of over 90 employees, working together with the common goal of the “restoration of sight.”
All activities will be tapered to three main goals
- Fund Development
- Promotion of MEB
- Increasing the number of registered eye, organ and tissue donors.
Your main project will revolve around our annual golf outing silent auction. This internship will be very complementary to interests in fundraising, community organizing, public relations, and communications.
How to become involved
We can always use volunteers for various projects during the school year. Being so close to campus we are easily accessible to students who may only have an hour or two to donate per week. We also encourage students to approach us with different outreach opportunities on campus and vice versa – we would love to have students represent us at events on campus as well. During these next two months (Eye Donor Month in March and Donate Life Month in April) we would encourage tabling on campus to register students on the MODR, the Eye-Bank can coordinate with the student to make sure necessary materials are made available.
