Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Washtenaw County is hosting their 3rd annual College Bowl for Kids’ Sake fundraiser on Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013 from 4 to 6:30 p.m.
The funds raised are going directly towards the mission of the BBBS of Washtenaw County.
BBBS is a mission-based non-profit organization that works to assist disadvantaged children rise out of difficult situations both physically and economically. BBS works to match mentors (“Bigs”) with children (“Littles”) that are nominated to BBBS.
Through programs and opportunities arranged by the organization, the children and their mentors develop long-lasting relationships. These relationships are key to helping the disadvantaged children reach their goals and full potential in school, or whatever else they may pursue.
This year, BBBS is seeking to have 150 bowlers at the event to exceed last year’s attendance of 100. Bowlers that register as teams are given a fundraising goal of $200 or just the $15 registration fee for single bowlers.
This year’s theme is “Mad Men” and prizes will be given to the best dressed bowler that evening.
